One of the first covers that got this ball rolling. My first version was just an ‘ordinary’ custom cover, but then I spotted the similarites in composition between Colin Morella’s fanart poster and the official poster from Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Bit by bit I added individual elements like e.g. the empty road in the foreground and the starry night in the background. It blended nicely and together with the original font “Handel Gothic” it formed a wonderful homage to Steven Spielberg’s sci-fi classic.
