For today’s custom covers series I once again ventured back into my all-time favourite film universe: the dark and gritty realms of the Alien franchise. Now that the promo score for Duncan Jones’ Mute has surfaced to the public, I quickly decided to put my current projects on hold and instead dedicate all my efforts to this. After my first listening session I think that’s quite justified, after all, as Clint Mansell has produced a worthy successor to his earlier Duncan Jones collaboration Moon. In my opinion it’s more than evident that this score has been a commited affair for Mansell. Hey, it’s SonicAdventure – again. Heidl asked me to feature my covers for Total Recall. And I thought he was having enough of me considering the covers I did for Poltergeist. I was hesitant and excited at the same time. Because the covers for this classic 1990 SciFi movie are not my usual boring crap.
