The unwanted brainchilds, the dispassionate requests, the okay’ish ones I guess and the late comers. Also the lone wolves that’d definitely deserve a single post but somehow didn’t end up in one. They all suffer the same fate: Being dumped into this consolation prize of a blog entry, without the chance of ever being the single featured image on the front page. For the third time now. So far 2015 had some great collaborations for me in the bag and now there’s one more in the bank. All of these artworks were created for an unofficial fan release of Jerry Goldsmith’s Oscar nominated score to Mulan. Why would anyone want to do covers for an apparently nonexistant soundtrack album? Well… First and foremost, because Alien Isolation is just one fucking awesome video game! I don’t play far as much as I used to, but Isolation is so immersive, it managed to keep me glued to the screen until four o’clock in the morning. It’s that gripping and tense! No matter what, the graphics, the sound design or the overall programming, it’s brilliant in every aspect. Another reason may be that there is indeed an inofficial bootleg album floating out there… and thus there may very well be demand…

Faithful followers of my blog might remember an already existing entry to Jerry Goldsmith’s Alien. I‘m always working on several custom covers to multiple soundtracks simultaneously. That way I can keep myself busy without the risk of getting bored (and subsequentially artifically dull) within one film’s design scheme.
